New Day, Next Steps

So, I guess it’s about time to restart this website experiment and get this thing up to code (Pun intended) There’s just too much going on to keep procrastinating and letting this languish while I try to “figure things out.” I would hope that at this point, we’d all know that no one ever figures it all out, and just sitting around waiting for the answers to come to you, or fall into line, isn’t going to happen.

The State of America?

I find it interesting that the nation I live in has been overwhelmed with people “crying out for a change.” Yet, just a few short months ago; we all had the opportunity to help change gain a foot hold. We all had the opportunity, even with the barriers placed on some members of the population, to go out and vote for that change. And it seems that we did…sort of. The day after the election, we all woke up to what had been considered to be unthinkable. Some rejoiced, others wept; I think that most were truly shocked. Change was definitely coming.

It’s been awhile…

Finally, the semester is OVER!!! Time has really flown this semester, I can’t believe that my first MLA semester is really over. Nothing to do now but wait and see what grade I come out with. Then one week off before I begin the summer semester. Wow, I bet that one really flies. Anyway, here’s to a successful semester!

Get over it

I was very excited last night to learn that the NIU (Northern Illinois University) Huskies made it into the top 16 football teams. Even more exciting was the fact that this made them bowl eligible and would, in fact, be playing against FSU (Florida State University) in the Orange Bowl. Now, aside from the fact that this match up will cause friction in the Wiegman house, as I am an NIU alum and my husband is a big FSU fan, I was and still remain overjoyed that NIU earned the right to play.
